Chocolate Raspberry Chip Sixlet Cookies
It's really hard for me to resist buying baking supplies, especially when I find specialty items. I have drawers full of specialty chocolate chips, candies, flours and extracts. When I came across these raspberry flavored chocolate chips at an Amish market, I knew I had to have them. They look just like regular chocolate chips but pack a punch of sweet raspberry flavor. I knew they would be the perfect addition to a dark chocolate cookie.

Chocolate Cheddar Cheese Scones
Pin It
Ever heard of Instagram? It's an iPhone app that allows you to add vintage filters to your photos and share them on a social network. Think Twitter, with hipster pictures and Facebook style commentary. Since I follow a lot of my fellow food bloggers, Instagram helps me stay up to date with the new foodie products in stores. When you see something new in the store you snap a pic, post it on Instagram and let the "ooohs and ahhhs and where did you find that?!" commence. Case in point, Trader Joe's Chocolate Cheddar Cheese.

Red Velvet Whoopie Pies
If you were to ask me my favorite kind of cake, hands down I'd say red velvet with cream cheese frosting. There's just something I love about a perfectly made red velvet cake. It's obscurely chocolate flavored, yet bright red. It's dense, and moist and topped with a perfectly tangy yet sweet cream cheese frosting. I've tried many dry, flavorless attempts at red velvet and I have to say, it's hard to find the perfect recipe for this traditionally southern cake.
